Meet the face behind The Clinical Circle
Before anything else, I'm a mom and a wife. And those two roles shape everything I do.
My journey into the mental health field started in the most personal of ways. When my son was diagnosed with ADHD, I realized I knew almost nothing about it. That moment lit something in me. I decided to pursue a career as a therapist with a focus on ADHD so I could understand him better, and eventually, help others too.
What I didn't expect was that through my studies, I'd also begin to understand myself better. My own history, one that included significant trauma, became something I could finally explore with curiosity instead of fear. And just like that, my clinical passions were born: ADHD, trauma, and anxiety. I am genuinely someone who will always be chasing the next book, training, or research article on these topics. The learning never stops.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in leadership roles. I've always found joy in sharing knowledge, practicing patience, and watching people grow. That pull led me to pursue a minor in Leadership Development and Organization, because leading well has always been part of who I am.
Even after earning my license as an LSCSW, that drive toward leadership and professional development never faded. I kept looking for ways to fill that cup. Then I had an opportunity to support other clinicians in their professional growth, and something just clicked. That was it. That was what had been missing.

I know I'm not alone in noticing the gaps in our field. And honestly, I want to hear from you. What do you wish existed for mental health professionals? What has felt missing from your career journey? What would have made a difference early on, or even right now? Drop it in the comments. Your answers matter, and they help shape what The Clinical Circle continues to build.
The Clinical Circle is not about clients. It's for us, the clinicians. It's a space built around the growth, development, support, and resourcing of mental health professionals, where the unmet needs of clinicians finally get some attention.
As an approved CE provider through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (KSRB), I have plans to host multiple in-person trainings throughout the year alongside our ongoing online CE offerings. The website is designed to be a one-stop-shop resource hub for clinicians, bringing together trainings, wellness tools, coaching, research, and community all in one place.
If you're a mental health professional looking for a community that truly gets what this work demands of you, you're in the right place.
Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
